Sawlex 2009 Sponsors
The Mountain Loggers Cooperative Association (MLCA) proudly endorses SAWLEX 2009. Timber and forest products are critical to the rural economies of the mountainous mid-Atlantic region. Loggers and associated mills in the region are leaders in innovative harvesting practices in mountainous terrain, producing sustainable wood products using environmentally sound practices. SAWLEX will offer timber industry professionals many educational opportunities,
as well as access to the newest equipment. It’s a valuable opportunity for
loggers from throughout the mid-Atlantic states to see the best and newest
timber-harvesting equipment and technology. If you sell products or services
For the past 10 years Sawmill & Woodlot Magazine has been publishing
practical “how-to” information for woodland owners and sawyers. Readers look
to the pages of Sawmill & Woodlot for articles to help improve
their productivity and knowledge of the industry—from guidance on sawmill
and equipment purchases, to woodland planning, to harvesting lumber, sawing
lumber, to case-studies of successful owners and operators, and much more.
In addition, Sawmill & Woodlot Magazine publishes regular columns
on woodlot management, business topics and sawing and drying, providing hands-on
tips and techniques not found elsewhere.

Special Thanks! The West Virginia University Children’s Hospital, as part of the Log-a-Load-for Kids program, will be the beneficiary of the sale of the SAWLEX exhibitors’ demonstration by-products (sawn lumber, firewood, wood chips, etc.). This is due, in part, to a generous grant from the Greater Morgantown Convention & Visitor’s Bureau. The Mountain Loggers Cooperative Association will coordinate the procurement of the logs from area loggers, the sale of the processed materials after the show, and the donation of the proceeds to the hospital.
